1. Data controller

2. The Rembobino app

• No collection: no account, no usage analytics, no automatic crash reports, no connection to any server.
• Local processing: your Snapchat archive is read on your Mac; restored memories are saved to the folder you choose.
• Temporary files: files extracted from .zip archives go into the app's cache on your Mac, then are deleted when the restore finishes or when you quit the app.
• Preferences: your settings (destination folder, options) are stored only on your Mac.
• No access to Snapchat: Rembobino never asks for your login details and never connects to your account.

3. The website https://rembobino.com

• Hosting: the website is hosted by Cloudflare, Inc. To keep it running and secure, Cloudflare records technical logs (IP address, browser, pages requested), kept for a limited time.
• Fonts: the website's fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, so your browser sends your IP address to Google.
• No cookies: the website uses no cookies, neither advertising nor analytics. It only remembers your language choice in your browser.
• Cookie-free visit counting: we count visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which sets no cookies, doesn't follow you across websites and only gives us totals (page views, country, device type, referring site).

4. Purchases

Payment is processed by Paddle, which acts as the seller and as the controller of payment data (see Paddle's privacy policy). Rembobino never has access to your bank details. To handle orders, support and refunds, we receive from the platform your name, email address, country and order details. Your licence key contains your email address and order number; the app checks it on your Mac, offline. To display it after payment, our server (Cloudflare) queries the payment platform with that order number, without storing anything.

• Legal basis: performance of the sales contract.
• Retention: billing data is kept for 10 years (accounting obligation); other order data for the duration of the relationship, then 3 years.

5. Contact form and emails

When you write to us, we process your name, email address and the content of your message, only to reply to you.

• Legal basis: our legitimate interest in answering your requests, or performance of the contract for a support request.
• Retention: 3 years after our last exchange.

6. Reminder before January 2027 (optional)

The free trial downloads without giving an email address. If you ask for a reminder, your address is stored together with the website language and the date of the request, with our host (Cloudflare), then deleted automatically on February 1, 2027. It is used only to send you one email before Snapchat archives memories in January 2027.

• Legal basis: your consent, given when you ask for the reminder. You can withdraw it at any time by writing to us.
• Retention: until the reminder is sent, and no later than 31 January 2027, or as soon as you ask us to delete it.

7. Recipients and transfers outside the European Union

Your data is never sold or rented. It is shared only with the providers needed to run the service: the host (Cloudflare), the font provider (Google), the analytics tool (Cloudflare) and the payment platform. Some of these providers are based in the United States; transfers are covered by the safeguards required by the GDPR (European Commission standard contractual clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework).

8. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and port your data. To exercise these rights, write to exhaust.knowing-4k@icloud.com; we reply within one month. You can also lodge a complaint with the CNIL, the French data protection authority (www.cnil.fr), or with the authority in your country.

9. Changes

This policy may change, for example if a new tool is added to the website. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page.
